Cricket is perhaps a sport which can be played the most casual way in any place.

The sport cricket has seen many changes in regards to rules, regulations, mode of playing and other issues. As the game gained popularity across Commonwealth Nations it became interesting with every change of trend and transition. The game became popular day by day and today it has reached a phase where it can provide more entertainment than one day internationals.

Secondly, a concoction of some big and small players makes it very encouraging & entertaining to watch. Thirdly, IPL takes less time, so families which would go for movies are now opting for IPL. Fourth, there is a bit of bollywood involved in it which makes it worth selling and viewing. & lastly, some big names in Cricket make for quality entertainment

It might be wrong to look at the issue in terms of technology replacing umpires; thinking of it, instead, as technology empowering umpires. Technology has always been deemed by some as a threat to humans, but has invariably proved to be, instead, an aid to them. And umpires these days need all the help they can get.

Cricket takes a leap of faith in technology with the trial of a system that allows players to challenge the decision of the on-field umpires in the Test series between Sri Lanka and India. The umpire’s word will no longer be final.

T-20 has been a huge success and has done immense for the popularity of the game.  But it has its drawbacks too. With the Twenty20 World Championships just around the corner the format has reached a crossroads. A lot will depend on the Championships as to whether it will survive or simply run out of air. The question is not whether it is popular but whether this surge in popularity can be sustained.

You have to start it in a good academy of cricket where you are trained by a good coach.
